Restoration Technician

Full-time or part-time · Hands-on field work · Training provided

About the Role

As a Restoration Technician at Vortex, you’ll respond to water damage, mold, fire, and biohazard jobs across the Wichita metro. You’ll work directly with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and our production team — often on the same day damage happens.

What you’ll do

  • Perform water extraction, structural drying, and content removal
  • Set and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA equipment
  • Assist with mold remediation and containment setup
  • Complete air duct cleaning jobs on residential and commercial buildings
  • Document each job with photos, moisture readings, and notes
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers

What we’re looking for

  • Reliable, honest, physically able to lift 50 lbs and work on your feet
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Comfortable working evenings / weekends for emergency calls
  • Restoration experience is a plus — not required. We train.
