Our Process
3 Steps of Air Duct Cleaning
Step 1: Inspect & Prep
We inspect the HVAC system, seal off vents, and set up our truck-mounted vacuum with an 8" suction hose attached directly to the main trunk lines.
Step 2: Scrub & Dislodge
Using pneumatic whip heads on a compressor line, we scrub the inside of each supply and return duct — safely dislodging dust, dander, debris, and allergens.
Step 3: Vacuum & Finish
Our truck-mounted vacuum pulls every particle out of the building. We finish by cleaning the air handler, blower motor, and coils so zero dust returns to your space.
Why Fast Action Matters
Every hour counts. Here's why calling Vortex right away protects your home, your health, and your wallet.
Damage Spreads Quickly
Water, mold, smoke, and contamination all get worse by the hour. Waiting even a day or two can turn a contained problem into a full home restoration project.
Your Health Is on the Line
Airborne mold spores, bacteria, allergens, and indoor pollutants put your family and employees at risk. Fast professional action protects the people who use the space every day.
Costs Multiply Over Time
Small issues addressed early are dramatically cheaper than delayed repairs. Fast action limits structural damage, keeps insurance claims simpler, and protects your property value.
Air Duct Cleaning FAQs
1. Why should I schedule professional air duct cleaning?+
Professional air duct cleaning removes accumulated dust, allergens, pet dander, and mold spores from your HVAC system — improving indoor air quality, reducing energy bills, and extending HVAC lifespan.
2. How often do my air ducts need cleaning?+
Experts recommend air duct cleaning every 3 to 5 years, or sooner if you notice excessive dust, musty odors, pest activity, or after major home renovations.
3. What does the air duct cleaning process include?+
Our certified technicians use a pneumatic whip system — safe for both rigid ductwork and flex lines — to dislodge dust and debris. A powerful truck-mounted vacuum creates negative air pressure to prevent contaminants from spreading throughout the building. We thoroughly clean the supply and return vents, air handler, blower motor, and coils.
4. Will air duct cleaning reduce my energy costs?+
Yes — clean ducts improve airflow efficiency, making your HVAC system run smoother and use less energy, which often translates into reduced utility bills.
5. Is duct sanitization included with cleaning?+
We don't add unnecessary services. An antimicrobial treatment is recommended if mildew is present or a pest infestation has occurred. We use a botanical treatment that is safe for pets and children. If a customer requests the treatment just for peace of mind, it is perfectly safe!
